How Does The System Work?
With advancements in solar technology it is important to understand the basics of how solar panel system works.

A basic solar panel system takes in sunlight, converts that energy into usable energy by electronics. The electric panel allows devices to use that energy. The leftover energy is sent to a net meter. The net meter keeps track of how much energy is used and how much is produced. The excess energy credit can then be used when the system is not producing as much electricity.

The graphic below summarizes the basic four step process of solar energy. This includes the (1) Solar Panels, (2) Inverter, (3) Electric Panel and (4) Net Meter. As explained above these four steps allow energy to be transferred to the power company where the energy usage and production is recorded and credited to the unit.
